Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to common questions about my business, services, and policies.
What do I bring to
my first fitting?
You must bring any shape-wear that you are planning on wearing as well as the shoes that you are planning on wearing.
Is there anyway I can rush my alterations?
Help! My event is this weekend and my dress is too long! In most cases I can accommodate rush projects but it does depend on my availability. There may be an added rush charge.
Do you press my finished piece?
Yes! When you take it home it will be ready to wear and hopefully fuss free!
When should I start my bridal alterations?
My general rule is to start the alterations process about 1-2 months before your wedding. However, there are many reasons that you may want to wait until later to get that first fitting in. Some reasons to wait longer may include planned weight loss or gain, pregnancy, delay in additional materials or indecision on shoes.
What if I loose or gain weight?
Don't worry about it! That is why I’m here! It is my job to make the garment look perfect on you no matter what, and bodies change so much especially under stress. I account for it in the pricing of my services so there is no extra for such adjustment.
How long do
alterations take?
Timing on your alterations is more dependent on the timeline until your event rather than how long it takes me to complete your alteration. Especially for wedding gowns I want to have your final fitting no more than 2 weeks before your wedding, that way I can make sure that your gown fits perfectly on your wedding day as bodies are always changing.

I ask that for projects without a specific event date that you schedule your first fitting at least 2 weeks before you would like to wear or use the item to give enough time for me to work on it.
